Purpose of the Role
The Manager Ads Commercial Operations is responsible for managing and optimizing end-to-end commercial operations for the Ads business. The role partners closely with Ads Sales, Ad Operations, Product, Finance, and Technology teams to ensure accurate pricing, billing, revenue recognition, and collections.
The position ensures strong commercial governance across ad deals, campaign execution, billing, and reconciliation, while driving automation, compliance, and revenue assurance. The role plays a critical part in maximizing ad revenues, minimizing revenue leakages, improving collection efficiency, and enabling scalable growth of the Ads business through robust commercial processes.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure end-to-end ownership of Ads order-to-revenue cycle including deal approval, campaign execution tracking, billing, reconciliation, and collections.
Lead commercial controls to monitor ad delivery, impressions, clicks, usage, and billing accuracy to prevent revenue leakage.
Develop, implement, and govern pricing frameworks, discount structures, and commercial concurrence guidelines for Ads products and solutions.
Drive timely and accurate billing for Ads campaigns across formats (display, video, performance, sponsorships, etc.).
Ensure 100% collection of Ads receivables within agreed credit terms, with focus on minimizing aged outstanding.
Monitor credit exposure, collections analytics, and customer payment behavior to proactively mitigate risks.
Collaborate with Ad Operations, Billing, and Field teams to resolve discrepancies and liquidate overdue receivables.
Support automation of Ads commercial workflows including deal approvals, billing reconciliation, dashboards, and reporting.
Work closely with Finance, Legal, and Technology teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards, contracts, and regulatory requirements.
Provide actionable commercial insights and recommendations to leadership to support Ads monetization and growth strategies.
Review with business team of Ads Sales and Product teams to validate ad deal structures, pricing, and commercial terms in line with platform and policy guidelines.
Track Ads revenue performance versus AOP and publish insights, risks, and mitigation plans.
