Why This Role Matters
As GoKwik scales rapidly, a strong and well-governed finance backbone is critical. This role owns the Accounts Payable function end-to-end, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and scalability. You will play a key role in building and leading the AP team, strengthening controls, improving processes, and enabling smooth vendor and stakeholder experiences. Your leadership will directly support business growth, audit readiness, and financial discipline.
What You'll Own
Team Leadership & Ownership
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Accounts Payable team, ensuring clear roles, productivity, and quality benchmarks.
- Drive performance management, reviews, and capability development within the team.
- Act as the escalation point for complex AP, vendor, and internal stakeholder issues.
AP Operations & Governance
- Own end-to-end accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, payment cycles, reconciliations, and expense accounting.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of high-volume vendor invoices and payments as per agreed terms.
- Oversee vendor reconciliations and ensure discrepancies are resolved within defined timelines.
Controls, Compliance & Reporting
- Define and enforce AP policies, SOPs, and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
- Drive month-end and year-end AP closures, reporting, schedules, and audit readiness.
- Maintain oversight of fixed asset accounting and registers.
Process Improvement & Scale
- Identify gaps and inefficiencies in AP workflows and lead process improvements.
- Drive automation initiatives and ERP enhancements in partnership with internal teams.
- Build scalable AP processes aligned with business growth and transaction volumes.
Who You Are
- Strong people manager with experience leading and scaling finance or AP teams.
- Solid understanding of accounts payable processes, accounting principles, and internal controls.
- Comfortable working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and execution discipline.
- Clear communicator, confident in managing vendors and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Able to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with ownership and accountability.
