We are looking for a Management Accountant to support financial reporting, analysis, and accounting operations for our client. The role involves preparing accurate management accounts, maintaining financial records, and supporting budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting expertise, hands-on experience with financial reporting and reconciliations, and the ability to provide meaningful financial insights that support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Calculate and record accruals, prepayments, and deferred income as part of month-end processes.
Allocate operating costs across departments and cost centres accurately.
Maintain and reconcile the Fixed Asset Register and calculate depreciation.
Reconcile intercompany accounts and balance sheet accounts.
Prepare cash flow reports and support cash forecasting activities.
Submit statistical and regulatory reports within required deadlines.
Assist with VAT returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Support year-end audit processes and statutory financial reporting requirements.
Provide financial analysis and ad-hoc reporting to support management decision-making.
Maintain financial controls and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Essential Qualifications
Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA).
Minimum 5 years of experience in management accounting or financial reporting roles.
Experience preparing management accounts, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Experience working with ERP systems (preferably SAP Business ByDesign or SAP S/4HANA).
Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, and large dataset analysis.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
Nice to Have Skills
Experience supporting international finance teams or global operations.
Exposure to regulatory reporting requirements.
Experience with financial planning and budgeting processes.
Knowledge of automation or financial reporting tools.
