Job Description

Job Summary:

The Management Accountant role is one of the most critical in the organization. From creating engaging reports, to developing forecasting models, this role provides the foundation for strategic decision-making and business growth. It requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to turn complex data into clear insights that drive performance.

This role entails working closely with various teams in creating and updating reports, identifying opportunities to improve financial results, and partnering with stakeholders across the business to ensure strong financial health and informed decision-making.

Objectives of the Role:

Ensure the development and regular updating of key management reporting for major clients

Take ownership of the monthly reporting regime to ensure clients reports are delivered on time.

Ensure regular review and updating of client cashflow forecasts to maintain accuracy and long-term focus.

Produce insights into clients financial health by comparing actuals to forecasts and historical data.

Conduct in-depth analysis to identify financial trends, business risks, and opportunities.

Improve forecasting models and profitability analysis using comparative metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Forecasting

Work directly with the CFO to create and update monthly management reports and financial forecasts.

Build and update dynamic cashflow models that support strategic initiatives.

Deliver timely and accurate financial forecasts, analyzing assumptions and business trends.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

Analyze monthly performance data, variances, and key performance indicators (KPls).

Assist in the month-end close process by creating reports, validating data, and investigating discrepancies.

Develop insights into revenue, gross margin, and cost behavior across regions and product categories.

Strategic Support & Business Case Development

Support investment and operational decisions through comprehensive business case development.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and assess the financial impact of potential strategies.

Develop business case reports and templates for clients to use.

Systems, Tools & Automation

Maintain and improve financial dashboards and tools using Excel, Power BI, plus various SAAS applications.

Drive and support the development of automated reporting systems and processes.

Ensure financial data integrity and support audits by managing protected and accurate databases.

Performance Monitoring & Communication

Communicate insights clearly through presentations, reports, and data visualizations.

Engage in continuous professional development through training, workshops, and peer collaboration.

Requirements

Requirements:

Experience working in a Management Reporting or FP&A role.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail.

Proficiency with Excel, financial modeling, and business intelligence tools.

Familiarity with forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Working Conditions

  • Full-time position with occasional overtime during critical reporting periods.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

Experience in a commercial, inventory-based environment.

Exposure to revenue recognition and financial reporting software.

Understanding of accounting principles and taxation.

Proven ability in financial strategy, cost reduction, and process automation.
