Job Summary
The Maintenance Rotary Technician is responsible for inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of
rotating equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. The role involves preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and overhauling of pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, fans, blowers, and motors.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance as per maintenance schedules.
- Diagnose mechanical faults such as vibration, misalignment, bearing failure, and seal issues.
- Carry out shaft alignment, balancing, and lubrication activities.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and OEM instructions.
- Coordinate with maintenance engineers and operations teams during shutdowns and breakdowns.
- Maintain maintenance logs, job cards, and inspection reports.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent trade.
- Certification in rotating equipment maintenance is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 36 years of experience in maintenance of rotating equipment.
- Experience in oil & gas, power plants, petrochemical, refinery, or heavy industry preferred.
- GCC experience is an advantage.
Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with rotary equipment.
- Knowledge of vibration basics, lubrication systems, and mechanical seals.
- Ability to troubleshoot under pressure.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
