Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or rotating equipment.
- Develop and maintain job plans, work packs, and task lists in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS typically SAP PM).
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and reliability teams to ensure accurate job scope definition, resource identification, and material availability.
- Monitor work order backlog and prioritize tasks based on criticality, equipment availability, and production needs.
- Ensure all planned jobs are aligned with safety standards and bp's OMS (Operating Management System).
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to maintenance planning such as schedule compliance, PM completion rates, and backlog trends.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and eliminating planning inefficiencies and equipment downtime.
- Liaise with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure timely availability of materials and spare parts.
- Assist in root cause analysis and failure investigations by providing historical data and insights from CMMS.
- Maintain up-to-date asset data and equipment hierarchies in line with bp's maintenance and engineering standards.
Essential Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related Engineering discipline.
- 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in maintenance planning in oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, manufacturing, or similar heavy industries.
Preferred Skills & Competencies:
- Strong working knowledge of SAP PM or other CMMS platforms.
- Understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Good knowledge of maintenance work processes and job execution practices.
- Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISO, API) related to maintenance planning.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Good communication skills to work effectively in a cross-functional, multicultural team.
- Exposure to reliability tools like RCM, FMEA, and work order analysis (desirable but not mandatory)
