Role Description The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations across Orchha Palace and Resorts to ensure facilities, equipment, and infrastructure remain safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. This full-time, on-site role in Orchha involves planning and executing preventive maintenance schedules, coordinating maintenance and repair activities, and supervising maintenance staff. The Maintenance Manager monitors building systems, guest rooms, public areas, and outdoor spaces, promptly addressing issues to minimize downtime and disruption. The role includes managing maintenance budgets, maintaining records, working with external vendors and contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Collaboration with other departments is essential to support seamless hotel operations and maintain the resort's high-quality guest experience.
Qualifications
- Strong supervisory skills with experience leading, scheduling, and training maintenance teams.
- Proficiency in equipment maintenance and maintenance & repair across building systems, guest rooms, and common areas.
- Experience in preventive maintenance and maintenance management, including planning, documentation, and follow-up.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and hotel facility standards.
- Ability to diagnose technical issues and coordinate effective solutions, including vendor and contractor oversight.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams and interacting with guests when needed.
- Previous maintenance leadership experience in hospitality, resorts, or commercial facilities preferred.
- Relevant technical diploma, certification, or degree in engineering, facility management, or a related field is beneficial.
