Job Description :

Job Summary

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CNC machines and fabrication shop equipment. The role focuses on minimizing machine downtime through effective preventive and breakdown maintenance, supporting continuous production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Machine Maintenance

Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of CNC machines and fabrication equipment.

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.

Ensure uninterrupted machine operations to avoid production delays.

2. Equipment Handling

Maintain CNC, VMC, laser cutting, bending, and welding machines.

Monitor machine performance and identify potential issues proactively.

3. Preventive Maintenance

Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all shop floor machines.

Maintain maintenance logs, checklists, and machine history records.

4. Breakdown Management

Attend breakdowns promptly and ensure quick resolution.

Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.

5. Spare Parts Management

Identify critical spare parts and maintain inventory levels.

Coordinate with the purchase team for timely procurement of spares and services.

6. Safety & Compliance

Ensure machines operate as per safety standards and company policies.

Follow all maintenance procedures and safety guidelines strictly.

7. Continuous Improvement

Suggest and implement improvements to enhance machine efficiency.

Support production teams in improving overall productivity and uptime.

Required Candidate Profile

Hands-on experience with CNC/VMC machines and fabrication equipment.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems; basic electrical and hydraulic knowledge preferred.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to handle breakdown situations effectively under pressure.

Basic understanding of maintenance planning and documentation.

Good communication and teamwork skills.
