Job Description
Job overview: To perform batch testing for mainframe products. Must have good knowledge on JCL, ISPF, DB2, SQL, knowledge on REXX is preferable. Basic knowledge on JIRA is preferable. Must perform web testing for web based Analyser UI.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Must understand the functional, system and business requirements.
- Must develop Test Plans and Test Cases for different types of software testing.
- Must be able to develop, test and debug batch jobs (JCL).
- Must have experience working on DB2 database.
- Must be able to perform backend testing by executing SQL queries.
- Must have some basic knowledge on automated web testing.
- Must be willing to work on test automation on both mainframe and web platforms.
- Some basic knowledge on Java would be an added advantage.
- Must have good exposure to modern agile methodologies such as SCRUM.
- Must have good communication skills and interact with the team effectively.
- Must use Jira effectively to document the test results and report the bugs.
- Must have experience on performing smoke, functional, regression and user acceptance test on mainframe and web applications
