Hiring: Mainframe CICS System Programmer – z/OS

Location: Chennai | Bangalore | Noida | Pune | Hyderabad

Experience: 8+ Years

Notice Period: Immediate to 90 Days

We are actively looking for an experienced CICS System Programmer to manage and optimize mission-critical z/OS CICS Transaction Server environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, upgrade & customize IBM CICS Transaction Server (CICS TS)

• Manage CICS regions, SIT parameters & resource definitions (RDO)

• Perform SMP/E maintenance (PTFs, APARs)

• Troubleshoot complex issues using dumps, traces & logs (IPCS)

• Monitor & tune performance using Omegamon, CICS PA, SMF

• Configure CICS integration with DB2, MQ, IMS, VSAM & external systems

• Handle inter-region communication (MRO, ISC, IPIC, DPL)

• Develop automation using JCL, REXX, CLISTs

• Support DR activities & ensure high availability of systems

Core Skills Required:

• Strong experience in CICS System Programming on z/OS

• Hands-on with CICS TS installation, customization & support

• Expertise in SMP/E, JCL, TSO/ISPF, RDO

• Experience with performance tuning & dump analysis

• Knowledge of CICS architecture, storage & transaction flow

• Integration experience with DB2, MQ, VSAM

• Familiarity with RACF / ACF2 / Top Secret security

Good to Have:

• CICS Web Services / REST APIs / JSON

• CICS Transaction Gateway (CTG)

• Agile/DevOps exposure in mainframe

• z/OS fundamentals (JES2/JES3, WLM, SMS)
