What we are looking for

Role: Mainframe Support

Experience Range: 4 to 8 Years

Location: Hyderabad/Bangalore/Mumbai/Indore

Must Have:

• Strong hands‑on experience in Mainframe Production Support
• Proficiency in:
• COBOL
• JCL
• DB2 (basic troubleshooting, query execution)
• CICS (online transaction support)
• Experience with Batch processing and job scheduling tools
• (CA‑7 / Control‑M / TWS or equivalent)
• Knowledge of VSAM, Sequential files, and mainframe utilities
• Expertise in SDSF, job monitoring, and restart procedures

Good to Have:

• Provide Level 2 / Level 3 application support for mainframe systems
• Monitor and support batch cycles, online transactions, and scheduled jobs
• Analyze and resolve job abends, application failures, and data issues
• Perform incident management, problem management, and root cause analysis
• Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and database teams for issue resolution
• Support release activities, job migrations, and production validations
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, compliance, audit, and security requirements
• Update and maintain application support documentation, SOPs, and run books
• Participate in rotational weekend support and planned maintenance activities

Essential:

• Provide Level 2 / Level 3 application support for mainframe systems

Minimum Qualification:

• 15 years of full-time education
• Minimum percentile of 50% in 10th, 12th, UG & PG (if applicable)
