Job Description

Job Title- Mainframe Developer

Experience- 4 10 Years

Location-Chennai / Bangalore / Pune

Notice- Immediate to 15 Days

Requirements:-

Design, develop, and maintain applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS optional

Perform impact analysis, estimation, coding, unit testing, and defect resolution.

Provide L2/L3 production support including abend resolution and batch monitoring.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams for requirement gathering and solution design.

Participate in code reviews, documentation, and quality assurance processes.

Handle version control and deployment using SCM tools like Endevor preferred (Changeman, ISPW, PANVALET.)

Lead or mentor junior developers and contribute to technical decision-making.

Engage in client communication and status reporting.

Preferred Tools & Technologies

Languages: COBOL, JCL, SQL

Databases: DB2, VSAM, (IMS DB/DC Optional)

Operating Systems: z/OS, MVS, UNIX

SCM Tools: Endev or( Changeman, ISPW, PANVALET). Mainframe Technologies: COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 Operating Systems: LINUX / AIX.

. Testing & Support: End-to-End Testing, Environment Management, File Transmission Monitoring.

. Develop services/components using TAL/COBOL/C/C++ on Guardianand TACL scripts.

Build/maintain Pathway serverclasses, interposes communication, and APIs.

Strong hands on HP NonStop (Tandem).

Version controls (Git) and builds automation; exposure to CI/CD is a plus.

Good communication, teamwork, and problem solving skills.
