Mainframe Developer

We are seeking a highly skilledMainframe Developer / Technical Leadwith610 years of experienceto join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise inCOBOL, JCL, DB2, Python, and IBM Mainframe Utilities, along with domain knowledge inCards & PaymentsandAsset & Wealth Management.

This is a hybrid position requiring4 dayswork from office. The role offers long-term growth opportunities and the chance to work on complex enterprise-level projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of mainframe applications usingCOBOL and IBM Mainframe Utilities.
• IntegratePython scriptsto automate tasks and enhance functionality.
• Provide technical support and guidance inIT Service Management (ITSM).
• Design and implementJCL scriptsfor job scheduling and execution.
• ManageDB2 database operations, ensuring integrity and availability.
• Own the fullSDLC lifecyclefrom requirement gathering to installation and warranty support.
• Analyze business requirements inCards & Paymentsand deliver effective technical solutions.
• Implement best practices inAsset & Wealth Managementsystems.
• Ensure compliance withindustry standards and regulationsfor security and reliability.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system productivity.
• Develop and maintaintechnical documentationfor processes and procedures.
• Participate incode reviewsand mentor team members.
• Stay updated with industry trends to drive innovation.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6-10 years of hands-on experience inCOBOL, DB2, JCL, and IBM Mainframe Utilities.
• Strong knowledge ofPython scriptingfor automation.
• Expertise inCards & PaymentsandAsset & Wealth Management domains.
• Proficiency inIT Service Management practices.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.

Certifications (Preferred/Required)

• IBM Mainframe Certified Specialist
• ITIL Foundation Certification
