Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain COBOL / PL/I programs interacting with DB2 databases on mainframe systems.
  • Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and optimize DB2 database access.
  • Analyze requirements, design solutions, and implement application enhancements.
  • Perform unit testing and support system integration testing.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues related to DB2 and application code.
  • Work with DBAs for database tuning and performance improvements.
  • Document technical designs and assist in creating user manuals.

Key Skills Required:

  • COBOL or PL/I programming
  • JCL (Job Control Language) knowledge
  • Debugging and performance tuning on mainframe
