Mainframe Assembler MQ

Teamware Solutions is actively seeking a skilled Mainframe Assembler Developer to significantly contribute to our core mainframe systems. This role is crucial for developing, maintaining, and supporting applications primarily utilizing HLASM, JCL, and MQ, ensuring the robust and efficient operation of vital business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and debug mission-critical applications using IBM High Level Assembler (HLASM).
• Design, optimize, and manage JCL (Job Control Language) for complex batch processing and mainframe utilities.
• Implement and troubleshoot solutions leveraging IBM MQSeries for seamless inter-application communication and data exchange.
• Collaborate on system analysis, documentation, and provide essential production support for mainframe environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mainframe Assembler Developer.

Skills Required:

• Expert-level proficiency in HLASM programming.
• Extensive hands-on experience with JCL, including PROCs, conditional logic, and common mainframe utilities.
• Strong working knowledge of IBM MQSeries for messaging and integration.
• Proficiency with other mainframe technologies such as VSAM, DB2, CICS, z/OS, and mainframe debugging/SCM tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging capabilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with COBOL.
• Familiarity with mainframe automation tools or ITIL processes.
