Agnikul Cosmos is a company incubated at IIT Madras and we build rockets that can take satellites up to 500 kg to Lower Earth Orbit (LEO). In May 2024, we successfully completed our maiden launch from our own launchpad (India's first private launchpad). The launch has proven all the new technologies developed by Agnikul and also earned recognition from Honourable Prime Minister of India
RESPONSIBILITIES
Subtractive Manufacturing Operations: Operate and assist in performing precision manufacturing operations using Wire EDM and Sinker EDM machines to produce high-quality parts.
3D Printing Operations: Support all stages of 3D printing, including preparation, operation, and post-processing. Ensure proper setup, monitoring, and post-processing to meet quality standards.
Vendor Relations: Liaise with external manufacturing vendors to support the completion of projects. Assist in coordinating timelines, deliverables, and requirements with suppliers.
CAD Interpretation: Analyse and interpret CAD drawings to understand technical specifications and manufacturing requirements. Ensure the manufacturing process aligns with design documents.
Machine Management & Maintenance: Operate, maintain, and monitor various machines in the facility to ensure smooth operation. Perform routine maintenance tasks and troubleshooting as needed to ensure minimal downtime.
Facility Maintenance Support: Assist with the upkeep of the manufacturing facility, supporting ongoing maintenance activities to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Requirements
Education: A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of subtractive manufacturing processes (Wire EDM, Sinker EDM) and 3D printing technologies.
CAD Proficiency: Familiarity with CAD software and the ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications.
Machine Operation: Basic understanding of manufacturing equipment, with a keen interest in learning how to operate and maintain machines.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and precision in handling manufacturing tasks.
Communication Skills: Effective communication skills for interacting with team members, vendors, and management.
Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve machine or process issues.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with others in a fast-paced environment.
