A typical day in your role at Jet2TT:

Reporting to the General Manager Data Science, the Technical Delivery Manager DS & MLE will be a key part of the Data Science Management Team, leading the productionising of advanced analytics and Machine Learning initiatives and ensuring that the team are delivering high quality data science initiatives.

In this exciting new role, you will be expected to collaborate with technical and data teams, building out platform capability and processes to serve our Data Science and analytics community.

Key Responsibilities:

What will you do in the role

This role will oversee Machine Learning Engineering (MLE) and Data Science (DS) function. Leading the MLE team to manage BAU workloads, MLOps lifecycle, ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable ML deployments. Overseeing a DS to manage end-to-end delivery of analytics and machine learning projects, from scoping to deployment, in close alignment with stakeholders.

Lead the MLE team in maintaining and optimising existing ML solutions in production and focused on delivering high-impact advanced analytics and ML solutions to business stakeholders.

Oversee the end-to-end MLOps process, including model deployment, monitoring, retraining, and performance optimisation.

Manage and execute the migration of ML workloads and pipelines to AWS cloud infrastructure.

Drive adoption of best practices for CI/CD, version control, containerisation, and infrastructure-as-code for ML solutions

Coach and develop the MLE team to leverage cutting edge Data Science, Machine Learning & AI technology

Implement best practices for model governance, compliance, and risk management, ensuring ML solutions meet regulatory standards.

Own, design and maintain an end-to-end test framework to systematically validate Data Science and Machine Learning models.

Establish and enforce best practice for ML & AI model deployment and monitoring.

Ensure delivery pipelines are efficient, reproducible, and integrated with engineering

Facilitate collaboration between DS and MLE teams to ensure smooth handoffs from experimentation to production.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience (Candidate Requirements):

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

9+ years of total experience with at least 3+ years in Machine Learning Engineering, Data Science, or MLOps leadership roles.

You will have:

o Proven experience in Machine Learning Engineering and MLOps workflows.

o Proven track record in delivering complex DS & ML projects in an Agile environment.

o Strong understanding of AWS services relevant to ML (SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Step Functions, S3, etc.).

o Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform/CloudFormation).

o Proficiency in Python and key ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit- learn).

o Experience on Snowflake, SQL, and Python/Pyspark

o Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

o Proven experience in Machine Learning Engineering and MLOps workflows

o Experienced in communicating with cross regional & business team.

o Experience of working with regions such as US, UK, Europe or any international

o Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

o Working knowledge of Agile framework is good to have.

o Liaise with the Data Engineers, Technology Leaders & Business Stakeholder with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide excellent standard support.

Strong drive to master new tools, platforms, and technologies.
