About the Role
We are hiring a Lead – Analytics (AI/ML) to join the AI Innovation group of a global HealthTech leader operating at the frontier of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM). This is a senior individual contributor and technical leadership role — you will design production-grade AI and ML systems, lead agentic AI development, and set the engineering bar across the analytics platform.
AI-powered solutions are already running in production at scale here, continuously optimizing complex healthcare workflows. Your job is to make them simpler, more reliable, and more impactful — while building the next generation of agentic AI systems that autonomously execute multi-step RCM workflows.
If you have deep hands-on ML engineering experience, have shipped production AI systems, and care about clean, maintainable, high-craft code — this role is built for you.
What You'll Do
- Agentic AI Development — Design and implement agentic AI architectures that autonomously execute multi-step RCM workflows, with strong guardrails, observability, and control mechanisms. Evaluate and deploy LLM-based and multi-agent frameworks (LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel)
- Radical Simplification — Lead model consolidation initiatives, collapsing client-specific ML models into generalized, reusable architectures. Simplify ML pipelines, drive migration from self-managed Airflow to managed orchestration, and eliminate redundant systems
- Code Craftsmanship — Own rigorous code review practices, define coding standards and Clean Architecture principles, maintain exemplar code libraries, and champion security, Explainable AI, and responsible engineering
- Technical Debt Reduction — Conduct debt assessments using static analysis and quality metrics, prioritize remediation based on business impact, and prevent future debt through design discipline
- Production ML Excellence — Deploy and operate ML systems in production with strong monitoring, logging, CI/CD, and automated testing
- Mentorship & Influence — Upskill engineers through workshops, code reviews, and technical communities of practice. Partner with Architecture, Product, Compliance, and Security teams
What We're Looking For (Must-Haves)
- 8+ years of overall software engineering experience
- 5+ years in analytics, data science, or ML engineering roles
- 2+ years in a senior IC or technical lead role
- Expert-level Python with a strong focus on production-quality code
- Proven experience designing, deploying, and operating ML systems in production (not just notebooks or POCs)
- Strong background in code reviews, engineering standards, and ML pipeline design
- Hands-on experience with ETL workflows, orchestration tools, and modern data platforms
Nice to Have
- Experience in healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) or adjacent HealthTech
- Hands-on with agentic AI frameworks — LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel
- Cloud-based ML platforms — Azure ML, Databricks, Azure Data Factory
- Strong grasp of Clean Architecture and system design (C4 or equivalent)
- Model generalization techniques — ensembles, transfer learning, multi-task learning
- Familiarity with AI governance frameworks — NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, HITRUST
- Experience quantifying and remediating technical debt using static analysis tools
