Senior Software Engineer Python-Developer

In this role, you will:

• Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
• Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
• Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
• Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
• Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in engineering (CS/Math/Electronics/Electricals) from top universities like IIT, NIT and other reputed institutes.

Job Expectations:

• Strong experience in designing and building Rest APIs using python & Django Framework. Experience with Multiprocessing, Multithreading modules and building asynchronous APIs.
• Good experience with Python unit test frameworks.
• Design and build reusable solutions in data work stream of model development life cycle.
• Strong in data science python libraries like NumPy, Pandas, SciPy & UNIX.
• Solid understanding of distributed computing concepts.
• Good skills in Cloud technologies - GCP, Hadoop - PySpark, HDFS and Map Reduce concepts.
• Good banking domain skills and depth knowledge in risk domain.
• Good understanding of SAS & RDBMS systems including data models, relationship concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in source control using GITHUB code management
• Open to T-shape development environment.
• Should possess excellent communication skills, able to multitask and have a great team spirit.
• Should be able to take ownership and accountability.
• Should have good leadership skills to help other teams.
• Nice to have skills:
• Agile/Scrum software development methodologies and processes. Understanding of Functional/Unit testing automation & Load testing tools.
• Understanding of Reporting stack & Data modelling.
• OpenShift technology stack.
• Knowledge on Risk modeling framework.
• Good experience working with python-based IDE like PyCharm, Jupyter notebooks etc.,
