Job Description

Inviting applications for the role of RTR Manager- Benefit & Payroll Accounting

The person is responsible for overseeing the accounting of all employee benefit programs, including health, retirement, and wellness plans, ensuring accurate recording, tracking, and reconciliation of all benefit-related expenses and liabilities. They review and validate vendor invoices, payments, and supporting financial data, prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual benefit accounting reports, and monitor account variances to resolve discrepancies. The person ensures compliance with GAAP and internal policies, coordinates closely with HR, payroll, and external vendors to address benefit accounting issues, maintains timely and accurate benefit reconciliations, and provides insights and analysis on benefit cost trends and financial impacts.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accounting for all employee benefit programs, including health, retirement, and wellness plans.

  • Ensure accurate recording, tracking, and reconciliation of benefit-related expenses and liabilities.

  • Review and validate benefit vendor invoices, payments, and financial data for accuracy.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual benefit accounting reports.

  • Monitor variances in benefit accounts and investigate discrepancies.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate with HR, payroll, and external vendors to resolve benefit accounting issues.

  • Maintain benefit account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.

  • Provide insights and analysis related to benefit cost trends and financial impacts.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

  • BCOM / MCOM /MBA finance or CPA/CMA preferred

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

  • Relevant experience in benefits accounting or financial reporting.

  • Strong understanding of employee benefit programs (health, retirement, wellness).

  • Solid knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements related to benefits.

  • Experience working with HR, payroll, and external benefit vendors.

  • Proficiency with financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Workday) and reporting tools.

  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders

  • Problemsolving mindset with ability to identify and implement process improvements.
