Role Description

This is a long term overseas onsite role for a Senior Level 2 (L2) Technical Support Associate for the FIX Trading Platform. The role entails providing advanced technical and customer support for the FIX Trading Platform. Responsibilities include identifying and resolving technical issues, conducting troubleshooting activities, ensuring customer satisfaction, and collaborating with other teams to enhance the platform's stability and performance.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

Operating Systems: Intermediate to Advanced Linux/Unix OS knowledge (navigating file systems, process management, grep/sed/awk) etc..

Version control software: exposure to and use of versioning software such as Git. Database: SQL DB understanding.

Other Languages: Starlark, Python experience.

Configuration: Familiarity reading and editing YAML, XML, JSON file structures.

Networks: knowledge of TCP IP, UDP and simple connection level troubleshooting (tracert, telnet, ping etc.)

Scripting: Scripting using Java (or similar syntax) for logic/rules, and Unix Shell / BASH for automation.

Process Framework: IT service delivery within a global organisation including incident management, problem management and change management.

Certification: ITIL V3 or v4 Foundation Certified

Domain: Configuring and supporting complex capital markets order routing network software such as ATR, UL Link, Fidessa, Fixnetics, RA Hub or similar.

Protocol: Working knowledge of the FIX protocol versions 4.0, 4.2, 4.3 & 5.0. Workflow: Understanding of pre-trade, trading and post-trade workflows.

Desirable qualifications

University Degree in Science, Maths or Computer Science
