MISSION
Responsible for leading and coordinating the day-to-day management of logistics activities, with direct accountability for logistics operations, inbound, raw material and finished goods warehouses, chemical warehouse, indirect materials warehouses, internal logistics, outbound, scrap/waste disposal and cycle inventory counting. This role manages the end-to-end supply chain - from inbound to outbound - optimizing information and material flows with a strategic focus on safety, cost reduction, and quality standards. On top of that, responsible for the Inventory Integrety, leading the inventory cycle counting process under NIDEC's corporate standard.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
- Ensuring an uninterrupted supply chain by securing raw materials and indirect material supplies to maximize compressor production through effective team leadership and fleet management.
- Guaranteeing on-time and in-full (OTIF) delivery of finished goods at the lowest possible cost and highest quality standards through strategic outbound and shipping management.
- Managing reverse logistics for operational waste, ensuring full compliance with environmental regulations while maximizing revenue streams through the strategic oversight of the Waste Management Center.
- Leading a multidisciplinary team of supervisors, analysts and coordinators by fostering a healthy, collaborative and win-win environment. Actively sponsoring professional development, career mapping, and maintaining a robust succession pipeline for future leadership. Ensure compliance with Nidec regulations.
- Driving cost management through rigorous daily controls and supporting Logistics Engineering in implementing process optimization and cost-reduction projects. Cultivating an environment that encourages innovation and the challenging of traditional paradigms.
- Overseeing fiscal receiving operations to ensure full compliance with tax and customs regulations, including meticulous invoice analysis, tax assessment/withholding and regulatory reconciliation processes.
- Supervising inventory control to ensure high accuracy, organized storage and the optimization of stock levels to balance operational needs with working capital efficiency.
- Implement and maintain the 3Q6S methodology and operational excellence tools to ensure efficiency, organization, and safety in the workplace, promoting a culture of quality, autonomous maintenance, 5S, and continuous improvement in all operational processes.
- Ensure that operations in the area are conducted following an established safety management system.
- Maintain constant monitoring of team members to identify individual training/development gaps and measure each employee's potential.
- Ensure that individual development plans are aligned with team competencies to promote continuous improvement in the production area.
EDUCATION
- Engineering (Engineer, Logistics, Administration or Foreign Trade)
- Desirable: MBA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
KNOWLEDGE
- Strong Logistics and Supply Chain knowledge: Internal Logistics flow, warehouse management, inbound and outbound.
- Advanced knowledge of World Class Inventory Standards, overseeing the complete cycle counting.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP), Data Analytics and BI
