Role Overview:
The Manager – Logistics & Warehousing Operations will be responsible for managing end-to-end logistics for a high-volume FMCG cosmetics business with 1300+ SKUs, handling 10,000 daily B2C/D2C orders and 20,000–25,000units/40-50 POs for B2B units per day.
This role will focus on optimizing logistics cost, ensuring timely dispatches through strong coordination with customers and transport partners, and building a robust logistics network. The role will also lead a team of 3–4 logistics coordinators/executives and drive SLA adherence, fill rates, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities & KPIs:
1. B2B Dispatch Planning & Appointment Management-
• Manage appointment scheduling with customer warehouses/DCs
• Ensure timely slot bookings aligned with dispatch readiness
2. Logistics Partner Management (B2B & B2C)-
• Build and maintain cost-effective partnerships with transporters and courier companies
• Negotiate rates, monitor performance, and onboard new partners
3. Dispatch Execution & TAT Management-
• Ensure timely pickups and dispatches from warehouse
• Align closely with warehouse team for dispatch readiness
4. B2C Courier Performance Management
• Monitor courier performance across zones for D2C shipments
5. Fill Rate & Service Level Management
• Ensure logistics constraints do not impact order fulfillment
6. Team Management & Productivity
• Lead and manage logistics coordinators/executives
7. Data, Systems & Process Control
• Work with logistics tech platforms, ERP, and dashboards
Daily Reports:
• B2B dispatch plan vs actual
• Appointment scheduled vs completed
• Missed / delayed appointments tracker
• Courier pickup status (B2C)
• Fill rate and pending dispatch reasons
• Escalations & critical issues tracker
Weekly Reports:
• Partner-wise performance (cost, SLA, delays)
• Zone-wise B2C delivery performance
• RTO and NDR analysis
• Appointment success trend
• Cost analysis (planned vs actual freight spend)
• Key operational bottlenecks & action plan
Monthly Reports:
• Freight cost trend & savings achieved
• Partner scorecard (SLA, cost, reliability)
• Fill rate analysis (with root causes)
• Delivery TAT trends (B2B & B2C)
• Productivity metrics (team & system efficiency)
• Process improvements & automation initiatives
• Risk analysis & capacity planning
Key Skills Required:
• Graduate/Postgraduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations
• 5–9 years of experience in logistics operations (FMCG / e-commerce preferred)
• Strong experience in B2B dispatch planning and appointment-based deliveries
• Proven track record of managing courier/transport partners
• Hands-on experience with ERP, WMS, and logistics platforms
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
