Job Title: Expeditor (Vendor Expediting)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Expeditor (Static, Rotary, Mechanical/ Package, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation) with proven expertise in vendor expediting, procurement follow-up, and supply chain coordination for EPC projects in the Oil & Gas and Fertilizer industries. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in monitoring manufacturing progress and expediting delivery of critical equipment including rotary, static, electrical & C&I, and Balance of Plant (BOP) packages. The role requires proactive tracking, risk identification, and close coordination with vendors and project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery in line with project schedules and contractual commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and expedite procurement activities to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials as per project schedules.
- Follow up with vendors on manufacturing progress for equipment and packages such as:
1. Rotary equipment (pumps, compressors)
2. Static equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers)
3. Electrical & C&I systems (switchgear, transformers, panels, DCS)
4. BOP (Balance of Plant) packages including utility systems, skids, piping packages, tanks, and auxiliary systems
- Review and track vendor schedules, progress reports, and key milestone plans.
- Identify potential delays, risks, and bottlenecks; develop and drive mitigation and recovery plans.
- Coordinate closely with procurement, QA/QC, inspection teams, and logistics for seamless execution.
- Ensure timely submission, review, and approval of vendor documents, drawings, and manufacturing data.
- Liaise with vendors regarding raw material availability, production status, and dispatch readiness.
- Coordinate inspection activities, including scheduling of shop inspections and FAT.
- Monitor critical manufacturing stages such as material procurement, fabrication, assembly, testing, and readiness for shipment.
- Prepare and share periodic expediting reports highlighting progress status, critical concerns, and action plans.
- Support logistics coordination, ensuring readiness for shipment, documentation, and packing compliance.
- Participate in vendor meetings, progress reviews, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with contractual delivery requirements and project timelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation) or related discipline.
- 8–15 years of experience in expediting, procurement follow-up, or supply chain roles in EPC projects.
- Strong experience in handling multi-discipline equipment and package expediting, including BOP packages.
Key Skills:
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and BOP packages
- Expertise in project scheduling, tracking, and progress monitoring
- Knowledge of procurement cycles and vendor documentation processes
- Ability to identify risks and drive mitigation actions
- Strong communication, coordination, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in reporting tools (Excel, ERP systems, project tracking tools)
- Ability to manage multiple vendors and critical timelines
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Fertilizer, or Petrochemical EPC projects
- Exposure to large-scale project execution involving multiple package vendors
- Familiarity with global sourcing and international vendor coordination
- Basic understanding of inspection and QA/QC processes
