The Logistics Intern will start by supporting internal operations such as documentation, reporting, and inventory tracking. As skills develop, responsibilities will expand to include external coordination with suppliers, carriers, and partners. This phased approach ensures a strong foundation in internal processes before moving into external-facing tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Phase 1 Internal Involvement (Foundational Tasks):
Maintain and update inventory records in spreadsheets and tracking systems.
Assist in preparing weekly logistics reports and dashboards for internal teams.
Support compliance documentation and SOP updates.
Perform shipment reconciliation and discrepancy tracking for internal review.
Provide administrative support (data entry, filing, internal communication drafts).
Phase 2 Gradual External Involvement (Applied Learning):
Shadow team members in vendor and carrier communications.
Assist in drafting emails or status updates to suppliers under supervision.
Participate in shipment scheduling and monitoring with external partners.
Help resolve minor documentation or delivery issues with guidance.
Contribute to workflow improvements by suggesting automation or efficiency enhancements.
Phase 3 External Engagement (Independent Contribution):
Take ownership of routine supplier follow-ups and carrier coordination.
Manage small-scale shipment investigations or claims processes.
Represent the logistics team in cross-functional meetings with vendors or brokers.
Provide proactive updates to external stakeholders on shipment status and compliance.

Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and reporting tools.

Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets. Familiarity with logistics tools is a plus.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to phased responsibilities.
Effective communication skills, with willingness to learn external coordination.
