Load Balancer Engineer | 6 to 9 years | Pune, Mumbai & Bengaluru

Job Description

• Proven experience as a Firewall Engineer, Network Security Engineer, or a similar role.
• Familiarity with network protocols, routing, and switching.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, and mitigation strategies.
• Design and implement firewall solutions based on industry best practices and organizational security requirements.
• Configure and deploy firewall devices to safeguard the network perimeter and internal segments.
• Develop and maintain firewall access control policies, rules, and security profiles.
• Regularly review and update firewall rules to ensure alignment with security policies.
• Configure intrusion prevention and detection systems (IPS/IDS) to identify and prevent malicious network activities.
• Monitor and analyse network traffic for potential security threats.
• Ensure that firewall configurations and policies comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Plan and execute firewall hardware and software upgrades to maintain the latest security features and bug fixes.
• Manage patch management processes for firewall devices.
• Must have working knowledge about managing iRule, VIP, SNAT & Automap, Profiles, CSR, Load balancing methods, health monitors, SSL Offloading, HA and LB failover, software upgrades.

Primary Skills

• Hands-on experience with leading firewall solutions such as Cisco ASA (5505, 5508), Palo Alto, Check Point (1600,1800,15400) Cisco Firepower (1000, 1120, 4110), or Fortinet.

Secondary Skills

• Must configure and maintain F5 Load Balancers and have good knowledge of WAN/LANnetwork management and monitoring.
