Role overview
We are looking for a Linux System Administrator who will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing Linux-based servers. The role involves monitoring systems, performing regular updates, handling server and network-related issues, and supporting cloud infrastructure. The candidate should be able to troubleshoot problems quickly and ensure smooth system operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Linux servers to ensure smooth and secure operations
- Perform system updates, OS patching, and server upgrades regularly
- Monitor servers, take backups, and ensure data safety
- Manage network security using VPNs and firewalls
- Configure and maintain web servers such as Apache and Nginx
- Handle basic database administration for MySQL and MongoDB
- Support cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS or OVH
- Automate routine tasks using Bash or Python scripts
- Manage user access, devices, routers, and load balancers
- Collaborate with teams and clearly communicate technical issues
Required Skills
- Basic to intermediate experience in Linux system administration
- Understanding of server security, networking, and backups
- Familiarity with cloud services and version control tools (GitHub/GitLab)
- Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
