Our Team
You will report to the Supervisor of the KT Server Team based in India and work closely with global colleagues. Our team provides Level 2 and Level 3 support for server administration issues across Linux environments. We focus on resolving complex challenges with innovative solutions, ensuring high availability, security, and superior client experience.
What You Will Do
- Administer and maintain Linux servers (SUSE, Ubuntu, AWS Linux, Red Hat) in production and development environments.
- Configure and manage cluster environments (SUSE & RHEL through Pacemaker).
- Manage virtual, physical, and cloud servers.
- Perform system upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting for optimal performance.
- Handle patch and content management using SUSE Update Manager or Uyuni.
- Implement AD bridging solutions for Linux distributions.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for infrastructure planning and optimization.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting.
- Work with Ansible and have a good understanding of DevOps, containerization, and cloud technologies.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 58 years of hands-on experience with SUSE, Ubuntu, AWS Linux, and Red Hat Linux administration, including cluster management.
- Strong understanding of license management and renewal processes for Linux distributions.
- Proficiency in shell scripting, Ansible scripting, and automation tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- 5+ years of experience in server virtualization.
- Familiarity with middleware technologies (e.g., Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic).
- Good understanding of virtualization, cloud platforms, and storage solutions.
What Will Put You Ahead
- AWS and Azure cloud certifications.
- Experience with automation and optimization initiatives.
- Exposure to containerization and DevOps practices.
- Ability to identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency.
