Job Description

Linux L2-

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Handle L2 escalations for Linux OS issues (RHEL / CentOS / Ubuntu / SUSE)
  • Troubleshoot boot issues, filesystem errors, performance bottlenecks
  • User & access management (LDAP/AD integration, sudo, PAM)
  • Manage services: systemd, cron, rsyslog, sshd
  • Patch management & package updates (yum/dnf/apt/zypper)
  • Monitor system health (CPU, memory, disk, I/O)
  • Basic security hardening and compliance fixes
  • Support VM environments (VMware / KVM)
  • Backup/restore support and log analysis
  • Coordinate with L3 teams & vendors when required
  • Maintain operational documentation and SOPs
  • Technical Skills
  • Linux administration (36 years)
  • Filesystems: ext4, xfs, LVM
  • Networking basics: TCP/IP, DNS, NTP, SSH
  • Shell scripting (basicintermediate)
  • Monitoring tools: top, vmstat, iostat, sar
  • Ticketing tools: ServiceNow / Remedy / JIRA
