Design/Support of container platforms, such as Docker/K8S/K3s/Podman/Openshift
Webstack technology (LAMP)
Working knowledge of standard Linux backup and recovery tools
Working knowledge of standard Linux security methodologies, hardening procedures, and best practices
Plan and conduct installations, transitions, upgrades of all compute systems (Windows and/or Linux running in a VMWARE environment)
Evaluate, design, develop and maintain server, storage, and other IT strategies for the enterprise, and all supporting products and services.
Analyze server and storage characteristics (e.g., CPU behavior, latency, transmission speeds, packet loss and throughput), triage and troubleshoot problems.
Implements policies for the appropriate use and management of the firm s compute resources.
Hands on experience setting up servers and all related supporting infrastructure (backup systems, patching framework, mail relays, etc)
Experience with 3rd party monitoring tools and analyzers
Experience in implementing services across a WAN
Ability to prioritize, and work well under pressure
Excellent communication & documentation skills, both in technical and non-technical arenas
Ability to work with a global support team
Ability and willingness for on-call and after hours work
Qualifications:
BS in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of proven experience with Enterprise Linux
Experience with open-source software
Experience planning and implementing DR/BCP solutions.
RHCE, RHCA,
Demonstrated experience working with Red Hat products such as RHS, RHGS, RHDS, etc.
Certifications or relevant real-world experience in HP Servers, Pure Storage, VMWare, and Cisco
Configuration Management (Puppet/Chef/Ansible/Salt) and MTA implementation experience (Sendmail/Postfix/Exim)
