The candidate must have proven expertise in:
- Provide L3-level support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems in a high-availability, low-latency trading environment
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of kernel-level issues, network stack optimizations, and performance bottlenecks.
- Configure and tune systems for ultra-low latency, including CPU isolation, NUMA balancing, and huge pages.
- Design and manage HA cluster setup
- Ensure precise time synchronization across trading servers using NTP/PTP.
- Leverage kernel bypass technologies like Solar flare to optimize network throughput.
- Collaborate with networking and cybersecurity teams to ensure seamless operations and compliance.
- Ensure 24x7x365 uptime and performance for mission-critical systems
- Implement system hardening and security controls as per SEBI guidelines
- Plan and implement capacity upgrades, patches, and hotfixes
- Automate tasks using scripts (like Bash, Python or Ansible).
- Support audits and compliance checks (ISO 27001, SEBI regulations).
- Apply best practices across environments for system and service management.
Ideal Background:
- 812 years of experience in Linux system administration, with deep expertise in RHEL
- Experience in low-latency system design, especially for financial services or trading platforms.
- Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, KVM) and monitoring tools like Grafana.
- Scripting skills (Bash, Python or Ansible).
- Certifications like RHCE, RHCA, or equivalent is highly preferred
- Exposure to ITIL practices and change management workflows.
- Ability to work under pressure in a 24x7 mission-critical environment.
