Job Description

Role Overview:

The Linux Administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing Linux servers in physical, virtual, and cloud environments. The role involves system administration, automation, performance tuning, security management, and ensuring high availability of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE) in physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
  • Configure and manage logical volume management (LVM), RAID, and file systems.
  • Implement and enforce security policies for user access and authentication.
  • Manage Linux systems in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Support OS build and upgrade initiatives to address obsolescence remediation.
  • Manage core services such as DNS, DHCP, NTP, NFS, Samba, Apache/Nginx, SSH, and FTP.
  • Automate processes using shell scripting to optimize performance and system reliability.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain system performance and availability.
