- Administer, configure, and maintain Linux servers (with strong focus on Red Hat) across development, test, and production environments.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of Linux-based systems through proactive monitoring, patching, and capacity planning.
- Implement and manage user access, file systems, storage, and networking configurations in line with organizational standards.
- Troubleshoot complex OS-level, performance, and infrastructure issues, driving root-cause analysis and permanent fixes.
- Plan and execute OS upgrades, kernel updates, and security hardening activities with minimal downtime.
- Create and maintain detailed system documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with application, database, and network teams to support deployments and environment changes.
- Apply ITIL-aligned practices for incident, problem, and change management, ensuring compliance with governance processes.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide escalation support for critical production incidents.
- Mentor junior administrators, sharing best practices in Linux administration and operational excellence. Minimum Qualifications:
- B.TECH degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.
- 8–15 years of hands-on experience as a Linux administrator, managing medium to large-scale environments.
- Strong expertise in Linux administration with at least 8 years working on enterprise-grade distributions, specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Proven experience in system installation, configuration, patching, and performance tuning for Linux servers.
- Solid understanding of system security, access control, and OS-level hardening in Linux environments.
- Practical experience working within ITIL-based processes for incident, problem, and change management.
