Key Responsibilities
Pre-Production Planning
- Collaborate with creative directors, producers, and clients to understand project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Break down scripts, treatments, and concepts into production requirements (crew, equipment, locations, post needs).
- Prepare detailed production budgets and schedules.
- Identify and onboard directors, DOPs, stylists, production designers, and key crew members.
- Manage casting, location scouting, and permissions.
- Conduct pre-production meetings (PPMs) to align creative and logistical elements.
Production Management
- Oversee all aspects of on-ground shoot execution, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and creative vision.
- Supervise crew, vendors, and talent during shoots.
- Troubleshoot on-set challenges proactively.
- Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and company policies.
- Maintain communication between creative, client, and production stakeholders.
Budgeting & Financial Management
- Create, track, and manage production budgets, including approvals and reconciliations.
- Negotiate vendor rates, crew costs, and logistics expenses.
- Handle expense tracking, billing documentation, and closure reports.
Vendor & Resource Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with production vendors, studios, equipment houses, and freelancers.
- Oversee equipment rentals, logistics partners, catering, and transportation.
- Maintain a database of reliable production partners and crew.
Post-Production Coordination
- Work with editors, colorists, and post-production teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Track versioning, client feedback, and delivery milestones.
- Archive raw footage, assets, and backups properly.
Client & Internal Collaboration
- Act as the operational bridge between client, agency, and production crew.
- Participate in client calls, share updates, and manage expectations.
- Collaborate with content strategists, creative directors, and account managers for project alignment.
