Key Responsibilities
- Assist the deck ambassador in setting up the classroom before class, including arranging benches (placed upside down to release air bubbles) and organizing toys
- Keep class toys and equipment organized for quick access. Learn the names of equipment (e.g., barbells/dumbbells, kickboards, noodles, motorboats) to efficiently assist instructors during class
- Count and verify all equipment when collecting items between activities to ensure nothing is misplaced
- Check with the teacher at the start of each class to confirm the game of the day and any special setup requirements
- Organize and prepare equipment in advance to prevent delays, ensuring classes run smoothly and efficiently
- Inform the deck ambassador if a student arrives late so attendance records can be updated accurately
- Alert the deck ambassador if a child, parent, or staff member is injured or shows symptoms of illness (e.g., vomiting). If the deck ambassador is unavailable, respond promptly using the first aid kit or following emergency protocols
- Be ready to enter the pool when needed to assist with clean-up, equipment retrieval, or emergencies, minimizing class disruptions and ensuring a safe environment
- Stay familiar with the class schedule, ensuring all equipment is prepared and in good condition before classes begin
- Send daily emails and WhatsApp messages as directed by the supervisor, ensuring timely updates and coordination
- Maintain constant, focused supervision of students both in and around the pool, identifying potential hazards early and taking quick action to prevent accidents
