Post/Job Title: Library Trainee
Job Purpose
IIMB invites applications from qualified people for the Library Trainees post for the period of one year.
Job Type: Traineeship
Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- The selected candidates are expected to work six days a week.
- The trainees may be allotted shift duty and may have to work on public holidays too.
- The internship period is one year.
- Certificate of experience will be issued to those who complete at least six months of internship.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the selection test/interview.
- Selection of the candidate will be based on written test/personal interview.
- The written test/interview will be conducted in English.
- Number of vacancies: Four.
Key Skill and Ability Requirements
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal and intrapersonal skills.
- Basic working knowledge of IT and IT related applications used in libraries.
Qualification & Eligibility
Educational Qualifications
- Candidates who passed out MLISc after 2024, 2025 are eligible to apply
- Candidates must secure first class in their MLISc examination.

- The eligible candidates according to the above criteria will be invited for the written test/interview.
- Selected candidates should be prepared to take up the assignment immediately.
- Maximum age limit for being appointed is 25 years as on the closing date of the application.

Stipend
