Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Librarian at NIRJA SAHAY DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, located in Ranchi. The Librarian will be responsible for managing library services, cataloging resources, maintaining metadata, guiding students and staff in library use, and overseeing library instruction. Daily tasks include organizing library materials, assisting with research inquiries, and promoting a love of reading among students. The Librarian will also be responsible for managing library budgets and resources, maintaining records, and implementing library policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Library Services and Library Management
- Proficiency in Library Science and understanding of Metadata
- Experience with Library Instruction and educational support
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Previous experience in a school or public library setting is a plus
