Librarian (IB)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop the school library as a modern, resource-rich learning environment
• Collaborate with IBDP teachers to support research, Extended Essay (EE), and Internal Assessments (IA)
• Teach and guide students in research skills, citation practices, and academic honesty
• Curate physical and digital resources aligned with the IB curriculum
• Support inquiry-based learning and interdisciplinary projects
• Organize reading programs, author visits, and literacy initiatives
• Train students and staff in the effective use of library databases and digital tools
• Maintain cataloguing, acquisitions, and library systems

Requirements:

• Master's/Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Science, or related field
• Experience in an IB World School (IBDP experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and academic writing
• Familiarity with digital library systems and databases
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for literacy, inquiry, and student-centered learning
