Role Overview
We are hiring a Humanities Subject Matter Expert to evaluate, write, and review AI-generated content across literature, history, languages, and cultural studies. The role combines deep humanities expertise with the patience to apply detailed guidelines that improve next-generation AI models.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs in your humanities domain for accuracy and nuance
- Write reference essays, analyses, and explanatory content
- Identify subtle errors in historical, literary, or cultural reasoning
- Provide structured feedback that improves future model training rounds
- Flag edge cases, contested interpretations, and ambiguities to the annotation lead
- Maintain consistency, throughput, and quality benchmarks
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MA or PhD) in a humanities field, or equivalent professional experience
- Deep expertise in at least one humanities area (literature, history, languages, cultural studies)
- Excellent written English with strong analytical and argumentative writing
- Comfort with structured guidelines and applying them consistently
- Familiarity with academic citation and research conventions
- Self-directed; able to work independently on quota-driven projects
