Role Overview

The Liaisoning Manager will act as the primary interface between the organization and key external stakeholders including villagers, local administration, political representatives, and community leaders. This role is critical for ensuring smooth land acquisition, facilitating project execution, resolving on-ground issues, and supporting legal and compliance processes for a greenfield port development.

Key Responsibilities

1. Community & Villager Coordination

  • Maintain close relationships with villagers who have sold land for the project.
  • Address queries, concerns, and follow-ups related to compensation, documentation, and commitments made.
  • Organize village-level meetings to communicate project updates and resolve issues promptly.

2. Coordination with Local Administration

  • Liaise with district authorities, revenue officials, police departments, panchayat bodies, and other administrative agencies.
  • Ensure smooth construction and operational activities by securing necessary local support and approvals.
  • Address disputes, boundary issues, or objections raised by administrative offices.

3. Engagement with Local Politicians & Community Leaders

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with elected representatives and influential local leaders.
  • Secure their cooperation for uninterrupted construction activities and long-term operations.
  • Manage communication and expectations to avoid political friction or project delays.

4. Support to Land Acquisition Team

  • Assist in identifying, evaluating, and negotiating new land parcels required for future expansion.
  • Facilitate due diligence, verification of land records, and interaction with landowners.
  • Support documentation, registration, and compensation disbursements.

5. Coordination with Construction Team

  • Serve as a bridge between field teams and local stakeholders to ensure smooth site access and unhindered project execution.
  • Address community objections or disruptions impacting construction work.
  • Provide timely on-ground intelligence to avoid delays or conflicts.

6. Reporting & Legal Coordination

  • Prepare periodic reports for the Head Office on land-related issues, political developments, and local risks.
  • Coordinate with legal teams to manage land disputes, compliance matters, and litigation related to land acquisition.
  • Maintain updated documentation of land parcels, agreements, and communication logs.

7. Administrative & Documentation Skills

  • Prepare reports, presentations, and trackers using Excel and Word.
  • Maintain detailed records of land transactions, grievances, and stakeholder interactions.
