In this role, The Level 3 Network Engineer plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure network infrastructures to support multi data centre infrastructure. This role involves advanced troubleshooting, architectural planning, and optimization of network systems to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust network architectures to support current and future business requirements.

• Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

• Troubleshoot and resolve high-level network incidents, performance issues, and outages.

• Plan and execute changes in the production network with minimal downtime (Change Management).

• Lead network projects including upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.

• Monitor network performance using tools like Kentik, NewRelic, or Meraki AP portal.

• Maintain high availability and redundancy in LAN/WAN architecture.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical network requirements.

• Create and maintain technical documentation including network diagrams, SOPs, and reports.

• Implement Quality of Service (QoS) policies to prioritize critical network traffic

• Provide L3 support and mentor junior engineers.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Extensive experience (10+ years) in designing, deploying, and managing large-scale enterprise networks.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Certifications: CCNP (Routing & Switching or Enterprise) CCIE preferred.

• Experience with Cisco Catalyst/Nexus/Meraki switches, ISR/ASR routers and Meraki AP platforms.

• Deep knowledge of routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and MPLS.

• Expertise in switching technologies: VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP, EtherChannel, QoS.

• Expertise in WAN technologies: VPN, SD-WAN, MPLS.

• Familiarity with IPv4/IPv6 subnetting, ACLs, NAT, and DHCP.

• Experience in high-availability and failover technologies.

• Scripting knowledge (Python, Ansible) is a plus.
