Job Description

Position Title: Manager –Legal

Location: Gurugram

Key Objectives and Major Responsibilities:

Legal Associate will support the Legal & Compliance function and must be capable of handling multiple legal related assignments. The role is critical to ensuring legal risk mitigation and supporting the business in making compliant and commercially sound decisions

  1. Contracts
  • Review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work (SoWs), Vendor Contracts, NDAs, MoUs, Letters of Intent, Terms of Engagement, Consultant Agreements, and various internal company documents.
  • Ensure legal risks are identified and mitigated while balancing business needs and objectives.
  • Negotiate within defined contracting standards, while facilitating deal-specific exceptions and customizations
  • Collaborate proactively with business teams to find creative solutions to legal and commercial challenges
  • Provide general legal advisory support and handle legal-related queries as required.
  1. Ownership & Projects
  • Take full ownership of assigned projects and deliverables.
  • Support special projects as needed, aligned with strategic business growth while maintaining acceptable risk thresholds.
  • Continuously enhance processes to reduce friction points and improve alignment between legal, compliance, and business teams.

  1. Training & Awareness

Assist in conducting training and awareness sessions on upcoming legal and compliance topics.

Required Skills -

  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills — both written and verbal.
  • Ability to deliver under tight deadlines with quick turnaround times.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent contract drafting clause interpretation, redlining, and negotiation skills.

Qualification and Experience

  1. Educational Background: LLB degree from an accredited law school.
  2. Experience: Typically, 3-6 years of legal experience, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  3. Specialized Knowledge: Expertise in specific areas of law such as corporate law, intellectual property, or data privacy.
  4. Legal Research Skills: Proficiency in using legal research software and tools.
  5. Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to handle contracts and agreements.
  6. Project Management: Ability to manage multiple cases or legal projects simultaneously.
  7. Communication Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  8. Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
