Our client an NBFC is looking for a legal professional with 5-8 years of experience for National Legal Manager - Recovery & Litigation role for their Haryana office.
Job Responsibilities
- Handle legal recovery matters including Section 138, arbitration, civil/criminal cases, and Lok Adalats
- Support execution of legal recovery strategies across NPA, write-off, loss-on-sale, and residual portfolios
- Coordinate with external lawyers, law firms, and recovery agencies
- Assist with issuance of notices, arbitration proceedings, and execution of awards
- Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal policies
- Review loan documents, pleadings, affidavits, and case filings
- Work closely with Collections, Credit, and Risk teams on recovery matters
- Maintain MIS, dashboards, and periodic reports on litigation and recovery status
- Support development of legal SOPs and internal trainings
Skills & Competencies
- Good understanding of NBFC recoveries, arbitration, and Section 138 matters
- Working knowledge of NPA-related litigation
- Strong drafting, coordination, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and stakeholders
- Clear communication and reporting skills
Qualifications
- LLB from a recognized university
- 58 years experience in NBFC/BFSI legal recoveries and litigation
- Hands-on exposure to arbitration, Section 138, and NPA matters
