Job Description

Role Overview:

The Senior Manager Legal will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support to the organization, with a strong focus on healthcare-specific legal matters, complex and unique agreements, contract negotiation, compliance, and litigation management. This role requires a hands-on legal professional capable of managing both strategic and day-to-day legal requirements across hospital units.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

1) Contracts & Agreements

- Draft, review, negotiate, and close a wide variety of agreements

- Handle complex, bespoke, and once-in-a-lifetime agreements that are unique in nature and require strong legal judgment and structuring skills.

- Ensure all contracts are legally sound, commercially viable, and aligned with healthcare regulations and organizational risk appetite

2) Compliance & Audits

- Ensure compliance with healthcare-specific laws, regulations, and statutory requirements applicable to hospitals and healthcare establishments.

- Conduct quarterly legal and compliance audits across hospital units and facilities.

- Identify gaps, recommend corrective actions, and support implementation to mitigate legal and compliance risks.

Experience & Qualifications

1) LLB qualification compulsory

2) 6-8 years of post-qualification legal experience, preferably within the healthcare / hospital sector

3) Strong experience in drafting and negotiating complex and customized agreements.

4) Solid understanding of healthcare compliance, regulatory frameworks, and hospital operations.

5) Hands-on experience in litigation handling and coordination.

6) Ability to balance legal risk with business practicality.

7) Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.

8) High attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to work independently.
