Job Description Legal Manager (Expansion)
Location: Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru (On-site)
Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized university in India
Experience: 3 7 years of relevant experience (preferably in a reputed law firm or as in-house counsel), with strong exposure to litigation and dispute resolution
Key Responsibilities
1. Compliance & Regulatory Management
Ensure compliance with local, state, and central laws relating to real estate, land use, RERA, municipal regulations, stamp duty, registration, and other applicable statutes.
Stay updated with dynamic changes in real estate and corporate laws at the national level.
2. Contract & Agreement Management
Draft, review, and finalize legal documents including Lease Agreements, Master Service Agreements, Vendor Agreements, and other contracts.
Negotiate contractual terms with landowners, contractors, vendors, partners, intermediaries, and consultants to safeguard the company's interests.
Curate, maintain, and oversee legal documentation to ensure contracts are legally sound, commercially viable, and aligned with company policies.
3. Legal Due Diligence & Risk Management
Coordinate with external law firms for legal due diligence on land and property acquisitions, including title verification, encumbrance checks, zoning, and regulatory approvals.
Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks to ensure the company operates within all applicable legal and regulatory frameworks.
4. Corporate & Business Law Advisory
Provide expertise in commercial, corporate, and business laws relevant to the company's operations.
Evaluate ongoing and proposed projects to ensure compliance with corporate law requirements. Conduct in-depth legal research on partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.
5. Policy & Governance
Review and update company legal policies periodically in line with changing laws and regulations. Key Skills & Competencies
Strong expertise in real estate laws, RERA compliance, and corporate law.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Ability to identify and mitigate legal risks effectively.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Business-oriented approach with high professional ethics and integrity. Preferred Candidate Profile
Registered with the Bar Council of India.
Strong knowledge of RERA and corporate law.
