Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

1.Vendor Contract Management

Manage end-to-end vendor contract lifecycle including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and renewing contracts.

Maintain a comprehensive contract repository and ensure timely renewals and risk assessments.

Generate and maintain contract-related MIS and dashboards for leadership reporting.

2. Corporate Secretarial Support

Assist in preparing board and committee agendas, minutes, and action trackers.

Ensure timely filings with MCA and other statutory authorities in coordination with Company Secretary.

Track compliance with corporate governance requirements and maintain related documentation.

3. Labour Law & Regulatory Compliance

Handle queries related to labour laws and employment regulations.

Draft responses and manage correspondence with government and regulatory authorities.

Ensure compliance with applicable labour legislations and internal policies.

4. Compliance Management

Maintain and monitor an internal compliance dashboard across functions.

Track statutory and regulatory compliance status and provide timely updates to stakeholders.

Ensure adherence to compliance timelines and internal audit requirements.

5. Third Party Due Diligence

Conduct due diligence on vendors, partners, and other third parties.

Support in onboarding assessments, risk analysis, and periodic reviews.

6. Leadership & Team Management

Lead a small legal and compliance team, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance reviews.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, P&C etc,

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of contract law, corporate law, and labour law.
  • Proven experience in vendor negotiations and compliance monitoring.
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in maintaining legal MIS, dashboards, and documentation
  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and manage a team effectively.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education: LL.B is must. Company Secretary preferred.

Experience: 6-7 years of experience in a corporate legal/compliance role
