Job Description

Marsh McLennan India is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Gurgaon office.

This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Legal Entity Controller

Description:

This role involves overseeing financial accounting operations, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The successful candidate will lead a team, drive process improvements, and support strategic financial initiatives.

We will count on you to:

  • Lead the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IND AS
  • Manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and timely completion.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities, including general ledger management.
  • Drive financial reporting, analysis, and dashboard development for senior management.
  • Manage treasury functions, including cash flow assessments.
  • Oversee revenue recognition, receivables review, and related accounting activities, including handling bad debts and WIP calculations.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP for group reporting.
  • Maintain internal controls and ensure adherence to regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Manage tax compliance activities, including GST, income tax returns, transfer pricing, and advance tax.

What you need to have:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8+ years of experience in financial accounting, audit management, tax compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven expertise in managing month-end closures, entity controlling, and financial reporting.
  • Strong data management and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to challenge existing processes, simplify workflows, and leverage technology for operational efficiency.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with relevant tools and systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities, with the ability to influence in a matrix environment.
