Legal Counsel - Real Estate

Job Description:

Act as an in-house corporate and commercial counsel and handle all real estate contracts, commercial contracts, disputes, litigation, and related advisory work.

Responsibilities:

1. Drafting, reviewing, analysing and negotiating various real estate contracts, including interaction with landlords.

2. Drafting of other legal documents like LOIs / terms sheets, POA, affidavits, Indemnity Bond, Letter of Authority, Renewal & Termination Letters, commercial contracts, etc., and discuss these with the legal team and the internal stakeholders.

3. Liaisoning with internal teams, consultants / external legal counsels for different legal, regulatory, and compliance matters.

4. Reviewing, analysing, drafting responses, and liaisoning with external counsels on litigation / alternative dispute resolution matters / proceedings / consumer disputes, as may be required.

5. Research and updation of various Laws on timely basis and assisting the Company and the internal stakeholders with legal advice on various substantive law issues and impact of new laws and regulation on the business of the Company.

6. Maintenance of repository of all ongoing matters (contracts, disputes, litigation, arbitrations, or any other ongoing work).

7. Generally, be a part of the legal team and assist with such items as may be delegated from time to time at a team level.

Qualification

● 6-8 yrs in similar role post LLB Qualification
