Job Summary

Legal Counsel shall be responsible for providing legal support to all business units and teams within India region. Responsibilities mainly include contract management & execution, data privacy, and compliances.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts and letters, in collaboration with business teams;
• Manage and support execution of any and all contracts of Dahua India, including but not limited to printing contracts on non-juridical stamp paper, paying statutory fees on contracts, arranging signatures of authorized signatories, affixing seal, notarization, maintaining related records, training and drafting policy for contract execution;
• Ensure that contracts must be executed and are properly entered into Dahua India databases and securely maintained;
• Ensure to legal compliance due to changes in regulatory requirements;
• Responsible for Updating New Laws and Regulations;
• Communicate and present information to stakeholders about all contract-related matters;
• Interacting with contractors, suppliers, law firms and clients as necessary;
• Work collaboratively and in partnership with Dahua India and HQ Legal Affairs department.

Required Education and Experience

• Master/ Bachelor's degree in law from recognized law school in India/ abroad;
• 5-10 years experience in-house/ law firm;
• Familiar with handling company legal affairs and procedures;
• Experience and legal knowledge with focus on contract & commercial laws;
• Driving discipline and focusing on minimizing risk levels and contractual adherence;
• Having a CS degree is desired but not mandatory.
