About the Role
We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join a dynamic in-house legal team supporting a global financial services organization. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders across trading, technology, finance, and operations, providing practical legal advice while managing a wide range of commercial and corporate legal matters.
This role is ideal for a lawyer who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants exposure to complex commercial agreements and broader in-house legal responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal support to internal business teams on a variety of commercial and operational matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and transactional agreements
- Partner with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks
- Collaborate with other in-house counsel and external law firms on specialized legal matters when required
- Support the business in managing compliance, governance, and legal risk management processes
- Assist with the development and implementation of internal legal policies and best practices
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent law degree
- Qualified and admitted to practice with any United States State Bar
- Minimum 5+ years of legal experience, preferably within a law firm or in-house environment
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
- Excellent legal research, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced business environment
